Winner of WSM Talent Competition on September 27th Will Land

NASHVILLE--Sept. 17th, 2007—Vietti Chili is on the hunt for the best undiscovered musical performer in town. Continuing its uncommon support of Nashville’s emerging artists through the Vietti Vinyl program, this local consumer products company is the latest sponsor of “From Tootsies to the Ryman,” an annual talent search at world famous honky-tonk Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in downtown Nashville. The contest is held by 650 AM WSM, the radio home of the Grand Ole Opry, to celebrate the station’s 82nd anniversary.

Vietti Vinyl representatives will join celebrity judges at Tootsie’s on September 27th to help with the difficult task of selecting a single winner. As part of the prize, the most talented contestant will be featured on a can of Vietti Chili in 2008, thereby reaching new fans through a presence in grocery stores across the Southeast. Headlining the night will be Tom Hambridge, a two-time Grammy-nominated singer, drummer, songwriter, and producer who has already joined the roster of Vietti Vinyl artists. “This partnership with WSM is a perfect fit for Vietti Vinyl,” said Monica Powers, Director of Marketing for the Vietti brand. “Vietti stays true to its Nashville origins by promoting local talent. This is another vehicle for us to support our emerging artists --whether on the radio, through events, or on the store shelf, where they can get the broadest consumer exposure.”
