 Nashville bluegrass band The Grascals, who released their Grammy-nominated debut album on Rounder Records last year, won the 2005 International Bluegrass Awards for Emerging Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, for their emotion-filled single, "Me and John and Paul."
Members of the band--Terry Eldredge, Jamie Johnson, Jimmy Mattingly, David Talbot, Terry Smith and Danny Roberts--have an impressive resume on the music scene, having performed with legends such as the Osborne Brothers, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time, and the Sidemen, among others, before forming The Grascals.
The past year has found them taking bluegrass music everywhere from festival stages to the Grand Ole Opry, national television, and opening slots for Brooks & Dunn and Dolly Parton, for whom they opened a sold-out concert at Radio City Music Hall. |
